Assistance systems – fit for the future of driving!

Road traffic is changing rapidly – modern vehicles are now equipped with a wide range of assistance systems that make driving safer, more comfortable and more efficient. But those who understand them and use them correctly have a clear advantage!

What are assistance systems?
Driver assistance systems support the driver – they warn, intervene or relieve the driver of certain driving tasks.

The most important ones include

  • ABS (anti-lock braking system) – prevents the wheels from locking when braking
  • ESP (electronic stability program) – stabilizes the vehicle if there is a risk of skidding
  • Lane departure warning system – warns or actively steers if the vehicle unintentionally leaves its lane
  • Adaptive cruise control (ACC) – automatically keeps its distance from the vehicle in front
  • Emergency Brake Assist – detects obstacles and can initiate emergency braking
  • Blind Spot Warning – indicates vehicles in the blind spot
  • Parking aid / reversing camera – facilitates safe maneuvering
  • Traffic sign recognition – displays current speed limits

These systems can save lives – but only if you know how to use them safely, if you know how to use them safely and sensibly.
