Depending on arrangement, driving lessons take place in Dietikon, Schlieren, Urdorf, Limmattal and Zurich West. Meeting points include Dietikon Station, Glanzenberg Station, Schlieren Station, Urdorf Station, Zurich Altstetten, Albisrieden and Triemli.

Yes. Especially if you’re unsure or have respect for road traffic, calm and patient guidance is important. The driving lessons are adapted to your pace and current level.

Yes. Control drives and refresher lessons are ideal if you want to regain more confidence while driving, for example with parking, in city traffic, on the motorway or in roundabouts.

The driver’s license is revoked immediately or the foreign license is no longer valid in Switzerland. However, the candidate has the option to apply for a learner’s permit.

Possible meeting points include Dietikon Station, Glanzenberg Station, Schlieren Station, Urdorf Station as well as Zurich Altstetten, Albisrieden and Triemli.

In Switzerland, driving lessons are not mandatory, but recommended to pass the practical test. It’s not the number of driving lessons that counts, but your driving ability alone.

Yes. From January 1, 2021, you can drive a car at 17 years old with a suitable accompanying person (at least 23 years old and in possession of a driver’s license for 3 years). At the end of 2018, the Federal Council lowered the age for obtaining a learner’s permit to 17 years. This was preceded by the decision that those under 20 must now complete a learning phase of twelve months with accompanied practice drives before they can take the practical driving test.

The price for a driving lesson varies from driving school to driving school, from region to region. In Switzerland, you can expect a price for a driving lesson from CHF 80 to CHF 110.

The price is not the most important thing, but rather the interaction between driving instructor and student – the chemistry must be right. This influences learning success and is ultimately decisive for the number of hours you need.

This varies greatly and also depends on how much the learner can practice privately. The average is 25 to 35 driving lessons. Your own motivation to learn certainly plays an important role here, as well as whether you’re more anxious and your age.

Good exam preparation consists of regular driving lessons, clear learning goals, honest feedback and sufficient practice in different traffic situations. In the driving lessons, you’ll learn what’s particularly important for the practical test.

Would you like to learn to drive, prepare for the driving test or become more confident behind the wheel again?
